Chef Zenash Beyene of Ras Dashen Ethiopian Restaurant in Chicago is considered one of the Great Ethiopian Chefs who excel in the quality of traditional Ethiopian cooking.
Chef Zenash has been recognized in Chicago's "Great Chefs Series", Public Radio and ABC TV's 'Hungry Hound' program. Zenash is one of very few if not the only Ethiopian Jew "Beta Israel" operating an Ethiopian Restaurant in America. Apart from her unique religious background Zenash has had a colorful life living in Saudi Arabia and Sudan where she operated her own Ethiopian Restaurants.
